Summer Thursday 8/8: Film screening - Long live the mine

Tall building collapsing Large dust cloud spreading out from the building.

The Laisvall mine has played an important role in the history of Arjeplog, and especially Laisvall. When it closed, not only did jobs disappear, but also part of Laisvall's identity.

Screening of the movie Long live the mine! from 2010 by Maria Söderberg.
The film (58 min) is about a sixty-year mining era in Laisvall that ends. The 86-meter high lava on the processing plant is going down and the audience flocks to Björnberget.

Malin Brännström and Eva Quist will also take part.
