Summer Thursday 8/6: The museum's hiding places

On a rock, two bowls made of wood, one with green seeds and one with dried berries, are visible. A piece of dried meat lies in front, dried bark protrudes from a brown leather bag behind, and two hands hold a small wooden bowl with greenish milky contents.

People here have always lived on what they could harvest from nature - meat, fish, plants and berries. But what did we do before the fridge and freezer? A new stand in Ur Naturen on ways to preserve food has opened up for this year's theme for the Museum's hiding places: salt, acidify, smoke, dry.

Come and see what we have filled the stand with, maybe you dare to have a taste of what is on offer?
