Peder Lundkvist - digital version of the exhibition
What's new
As the Silvermuseet is closed due to current circumstances, we hope that as many people as possible were able to see the Peder Lundkvist exhibition, but if you missed it, here's a digital chance!
"I refer to nature as she, mother nature, the life-giving one.
We humans often describe nature from the perspective of a stranger, which is sad in one way, but understandable in another.
It is sad that we do not seem to understand that we are only one piece of the giant puzzle of life that is nature, and that we have become alienated from the fundamentals of our own existence.
We no longer live by and in harmony with nature, but we try to survive it, creating instead an artificial and often destructive world.
A bubble whose assets arise from short-term rewards, and are based on nature's exploitation, and ultimately, depletion.
But she is still there, forgiving and secure in her maternal role, permissive and open for all of us to see and share.
It takes a while before you can feel it, the rhythm, the heartbeat and the breath of nature's animated essence.
There is no template, no recipe or rule for finding the ancient bond woven between us, Mother Nature
and man.
Nor is there anything to lose in the search, but there is everything to gain."

About Peder:
I mostly shoot documentary and nature/cultural environments in my own projects.
In addition, I work on a freelance basis with reportage and other assignment photography.
In my imagery, I strive to emphasize the story that lives in that particular moment that is frozen on a car window.
A hundredth of a second contains as many stories as there are viewers.
