Lecture 8/3 at 14.00: Sielu biedganeapmi - Dividing the soul

Black and white image of a child dressed for winter - fur coat, hat and bellows shoes. Around the waist a belt with round buttons. The child is standing next to a tent hut and looking at the camera. Pine trunks are visible in the background.

What does it do to people to be forced to move from their homes, their land? And when it happens again. And again?

The exhibition Sielu bieganeapmi - The Shattering of the Soul has made the stories of the displaced Sámi visible. Parts of the exhibition, which has previously been shown at Ájtte, will now be on display at the Silvermuseet.
Hear Elina Nygård talk about the exhibition and the Identity on the line project.
