Lecture 25/1 at 18.00 - the future of forestry

The front cover of the book "The art of cutting trees and keeping the forest" on the left overlaps a picture of a smiling man in a light, plaid shirt, forest pants and boots standing on a branch in a tree.

Mikael Karlsson, author of the book Konsten att chavga träd och ha skogen kvar (The Art of Cutting Trees and Keeping the Forest), will give a lecture on the future of forestry.

An alternative to the felling/clear-cutting model is the Lübeck model, which involves felling the forest without clear-cutting.

Can it be used in Arjeplog? And is it possible to design forestry so that both economy, climate benefits and nature values increase?

A warm welcome! Burist båhtem!

The lecture is part of Mähttse - Forest Landscape, a two-year project funded by the Postcode Foundation. In samarr. with Argentis and Arjeplogs Allmänningsskogar.

I want to know more about the Mähttse - Forest Landscape project.
