The film is a unique contemporary document that weaves together Sámi political and cultural history, showing the brutality of colonialism, but also the new wave of young Sámi who are defending their identity and culture. Director Maj Lis Skaltje describes the film as a way of collecting traditional knowledge for future generations and explaining the Sami world to the outside world.

The film is 85 minutes long, and will be shown at 13.00 but also during the National Day celebrations starting at 18.00. I want to read more about the movie.

Burist båhtem! A warm welcome!
