Digital seminar 31/1: What are the norms and legal concepts in Sami society?

Black and white, old picture of two people leading a herd of goats and some cloven-hoofed animals towards high mountains.

In a new research project we will, among other things, investigate how we can understand the internal Sami norms. We now invite you to a seminar where we present the background to the project and the approach to investigate the content of the Sámi norm systems, especially regarding Sámi use of land, water and natural resources.

Cultural differences often lead to different views and perceptions of the rules that govern a society.
