The Silvermuseet's hiding places are a recurring event in the Silvermuseet's summer program. It presents material from the collections on various themes that are not usually found in the permanent exhibitions. For 2020, the choice of theme was simple - it was 100 years since the Spanish flu ravaged Arjeplog municipality and something we wanted to draw attention to. What we didn't know was that the exhibition would be presented in the middle of an ongoing pandemic. With the greatest respect for what the current pandemic has caused, one approach to the material can be to compare now and then, where both similarities and differences exist.

The exhibition has been well attended and we have also had the opportunity to show it to all high school students in Arjeplog. After the turn of the year, the exhibition is available as a digital school program on the Silvermuseet's website under the tab Children & School.
